How I Hide and Store My Essential Oils!

Have I mentioned my house is small and doesn't have a lot of storage?  I never could find a great place to store my essential oils where I could see them and they weren't all piled up on each other in a bag.  Then I realized that the space below my bedroom window is available and covered up most of the time by my blackout curtains, so I put in a few shelves and essential oil storage was created.  If your next question is, you keep your bedroom curtains closed most of the time, the answer is yes, I get migraines and dark and cold is the way to go so blackout curtains are the way for me.  Plus the windows there are small so I bought large floor-length curtains to extend the look and feel in the room.  I hope you find this little tip useful for storage and hiding some items you don't need to see every day.  Happy diffusing!

Informational Newsletters, Yes They Do Exist!

There are two newsletters I get on a daily basis and try to read through as part of my routine to keep up on what is happening in the world of finance, technology, and just what is generally happening outside of Wyoming.

Daily Brew
The first is The Morning Brew, which comes out every morning and per their website - "The daily email newsletter covering the latest news from Wall St. to Silicon Valley. Informative, witty, and everything you need to start your day."  I enjoy this newsletter for their commentary and their break down of financial information into an easy to read format for someone who isn't so financially inclined.  If you would like to subscribe to their daily email newsletter please use the link below.

Emerging Tech Brew
The second newsletter from the same company is Emerging Tech Brew, which comes out twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, per their website - "The latest in AI, IoT, drones, and more. If it's impacting the future of technology, you'll hear about it in this newsletter."  I enjoy this newsletter as someone who is in a technology field it helps keep me up to date on new trends and is a good resource to refer back to for historical information.  If you would like to subscribe to their twice a week newsletter please use the link below.

Lazy Susan's the Perfect Lazy Girl Organizing Option!

What organizing tool is better than something with lazy in the name, that's right I am talking about a lazy susan.  Lazy susan's aren't just for condiments on your parent's kitchen tables anymore, they are great for organizing in small spaces.  I use mine in my pantry for tall items that I group together or have a surplus of and use it in my bedroom on my nightstand for my essential items.  See my pics below of how I use a lazy susan in my life on a regular basis.  Also in case you are wondering, I love the Old Whaling Company body butter lotion and use it every evening, the scent I use right now is magnolia but every scent of theirs is great.  Check them out and order some bath bombs, candles, and other self-care items, you won't regret it!  Also, the black case on my bedroom lazy susan is a pill holder, I wanted something that didn't scream pill holder and was a little discreet.
The Home Edit book is amazing and well worth your time to read and a follow of them on Instagram (@thehomeedit), Clea and Joanna are hysterically and organizing magicians.  They make organizing fun to read about and put into action in your own life.  I recommend the book and Schitt's Creek which I started watching after following The Home Edit after just a short time.  Great show!

I hope you all find this little shortcut in organizing helpful and check The Home Edit book out, items are linked below.  Happy Organizing!

Walking a Marathon?!

That's right this lazy girl is walking a marathon in the near future.  You read that right, WALKING, I don't do the r-word (run), am just not built for it, but I set a goal a while back so I am off to walk a marathon with the support of my sisters in tow.  I thought maybe you all would be interested to know what I am using to get me through this very long turtle paced journey.  Below is my list of products some gifted by amazing friends and family and some just great products.

Maven Thread - Motivate Leggings in Hustle Camo - I love these leggings they have deep pockets on both sides and don't cause me any chaffing which is important on long walks.  I have a lot of their leggings and headbands, I like this brand a lot.

Brooks Running Shoes - Pure Cadence - The soles on these shoes make my feet happy what more can I say, they have a lot of miles on them and need to make it 26.2  more to the finish line.  I have had an issue in the past finding some shoelaces for another pair of Brooks I had and their customer service went so above and beyond, I will be a customer for life because of that experience.

Love Your Melon - wide headband - these headbands are great, and they give back, for products you buy they donate to kids and families battling cancer and also make hats for kids in treatment.

Justin's - Dark Chocolate Cashew Cups - these are a great pick me up while walking I freeze them so they thaw out along the way.  I keep a stash in my fridge at all times.

Bombas - Women's Performance Running Socks - this brand also gives back for every pair of socks purchased they donate a pair to people in need.  These socks are great as they are cushioned where I tend to blister and also provide some arch support and are seamless.

BobyGlide - I use this on my feet on areas where I tend to blister and it works great.

Anker Charging Battery - this keeps my phone charged for my podcasts and music to keep me going

Megababe Products - These products have been lifesavers their Thigh Rescue is great for preventing chaffing of any of kind whether you are wearing or dress or walking long distances.  Bust Dust is great for keeping the girls dry and irritation-free.  Their sunny pits deodorant is aluminum-free and smells a little like Love's BabySoft Fresh Lemon perfume for anyone that grew up in the same era I did and started their foray into perfume with the Love's BabySoft collection.

Kuyou Hydration Backpack - this is a great help when walking long distances so I don't have to rely on hydration stations or carrying water bottles with me.  I can also represent some of my tribe who have supported me through this process, notice the Little Lotus Yoga pin, and my State of Wyoming pin!

Finally, you need a great support tribe, family, friends, yoga studio peeps, and just everyone you can find to support you along the way.  Find them and relish them, I couldn't be on this journey without them!
